The righteous Judge of all

Reading

Practical meditation

Peter says that judgment begins with the household of God. This calls the church to seriousness, not despair. God purifies His people because He loves them. Grace is not permission for disorder; it is power to entrust the soul to the faithful Creator.

Observe our relationship with correction. Do we receive it as mercy or as personal attack? The immature soul calls every pruning rejection. But the Father disciplines His children for life.

Entrusting the soul to God is not a vague feeling. Peter joins trust and doing good. True faith continues doing good when it cannot control the outcome. This is strong freedom, not religious passivity.

Examine

Have I received God’s correction as mercy or resisted it as a threat to my ego?

Prayer

Faithful Creator, I entrust my soul to you. Purify me without losing me, correct me without destroying me, and keep Christ living in me while I do good before you. Amen.

Practice

Let us accept one necessary correction today and respond with doing good, not automatic defense.
